Well, managed to get one of my February goals today, 3:14.8 in the 1K row (goal was 3:15, previous best was 3:21). Based on the fact that I could barely walk afterward, downsized to the 20″ box (mostly due to the fact that I was about certain I’d catch my toes on the lip of the metal one at least once) and went light with the kb on the snatches.
That’s cool, I was pretty much there to try and get that PB in the row.
Bring on the Raleigh rowers! This old man is waiting.

There were some great 1K times and WOD times this morning. No one left anything to spare. Great work everyone!
I think Charlie, Matt R., and Doug were pretty much neck to neck on the row. Congrats on your 1K PR Charlie! I also believe it was a PR for Matt R. as well. And I know Doug got a 500m PR on his first split. You guys are beasts!

Anyone else run the Shamrock 5k in Chapel Hill this morning?
Those girls totally screwed up the course for me and my posse. A huge portion of the racers got totally misdirected and who knows how much extra we ran.
Tsk. Pretty frustrating.

Doh. I forgot to write the main reason I opened up the comments.
So, since I started CrossFit, I haven’t really run much at all, but I felt like I ran a solid time today (but like I said, who knows). Erin apparently had an excellent first two miles; she was _way_ ahead of me from the get-go.
Anyway, not my sport of choice, but I’m at least competent at it, most definitely due to X-fit.
Thanks team!

Nice work, Phil!! How’d Erin do??

Pretty good. She said her legs felt great until around mile three. That’s when the toll of Thursday’s workout began to outweigh the benefits of four months of CrossFit.
We don’t know our actual times due to the screwed up course, but I think she would’ve been around 20-21 minutes.

Meant to type, “around mile two”
