Rowing Program
In our Rowing Basics 101 you will learn the principles & dynamics of the rowing stroke to increase your efficiency and prevent injury. The rowing motion is directly related to most CrossFit exercises and can complement and enhance your training – if you do it right! Through skill assessment, drills and a short workout you’ll learn how to get the most benefit out of your time on the erg…and you might even start to like it.
These classes are taught by Coach Emily Egge, who began her competitive rowing career in high school where she was a National Champion and member of the Junior National Team. She went on to compete at the University of Virginia where she was an ACC and 2-Time NCAA Champion. She has served as the Novice Coach and Recruiting Coordinator for 8 years at Duke, Georgetown and University of Louisville.
This class is open to all CrossFit Durham members. Space is limited to only 9 participants per class and attendance is FREE. You only need to attend ONE class. Register here
We will be launching regular weekly Rowing Workouts in the Fall 2011. All participants in these workouts will be required to attend a Rowing Basics 101. More details on regular rowing workouts coming soon!
