Turkish Bath

Our first Olympic Weightlifting Intensive Course begins TONIGHT! 

The strength area is no longer available for individual training on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-8pm.  Please don’t make us ask you to move.

Turkish Situps/Turkish Get Ups

–Rest–
AMRAP in 15 minutes:
10 KB Swings (70/52)
20 Pushups
30 Air Squats
40 Double Unders

Post TGU Loads and Workout Rounds to Comments
For the strength segment, perform 3 Turkish Situps (see video below) followed by 1 Turkish Get Up on each side.  Work as heavy as possible, but do not sacrifice form.

For the conditioning workout, scale movements as necessary.  Sub parallette jumps for DUs.  Set a pace and go.

    Worked up to 70# on the TSUs and TGUs and felt really good. The METCON got me winded quick...4 rounds + 30 reps Rx.

    Nice work -- Troie! I Worked up to 52# right side. Attempted 62# and failed. Modified the METCON -- subbed 20 KB floor presses (right arm) for the pushups, and parallette jumps for the DU's. Started with a 52# KB, that was too aggressive for the floor presses, had to retreat to a 44#. In the end, 3 rounds +84 reps. Cool seeing some new faces in the 6:15 session, too.

    worked up to 52#'s on both sides for the Sit ups and Get ups 5 rounds and 3 swings on the metcon rx

    Worked up to 44# on the sit ups and get ups. Finally was able to string DU's together with enough consistency to do them for the entire metcon. The push ups were the great equalizer on this one for me, 3 rounds + 25 with 62# KB
